Our History
Hoffherr Landscaping was founded by David Hoffherr in the fall of 1978. David built the landscape company from the ground up with a firm belief in the importance of family, hard work, and dedication to providing quality service. The company began with David and his wife, Kay, working from a small office and field located on his parents’ farm just outside of Darmstadt. Along with providing landscape design and installation services, a licensed nursery was started to supply customers with specimen quality plant material. Growing steadily over the years, the business and nursery expanded onto an adjacent farm purchased in 1984.
As the Hoffherr family grew over the years so did the family business, including expanded services and a larger nursery. More recent years have seen steady increases in equipment, inventory, and available materials. This has allowed Hoffherr Landscaping to be properly equipped and expertly skilled to offer a full range of landscape design and landscape installation services. Today’s continued success comes directly from the family’s focus on those founding principles of professional service and an embrace of family values, which are evident in each and every project they complete.
